Welcome
100+ Women Who Care of Will County is designed to make an immediate and positive impact on the lives of our neighbors. We are women who support our communities by contributing to local charities together as a group. It's a unique way to multiply the impact of big hearts.
OUR DONATIONS
What We Do
At each of the quarterly meetings members nominate charities, three are chosen at random, and after a brief presentation, the members vote on which charity to support. Once the winning charity is announced, everyone writes a $100 check, on the spot directly to that charity. (Teams of 2 or 4 are welcome to join and share in the giving.)
That’s it! No event planning, no committees, no raffle prize solicitation, no telemarketing, no volunteering – just a group of charity-minded women working together to give back to our own community. We give 100% to the charity. (All charities nominated must be located in, and serve, Will County and must have 501(c)(3) non-profit status.)
Our Latest Donation to My Joyful Heart
On October 14th, members of 100+ Women Who Care of Will County had their “big check” presentation donating $7,650 to My Joyful Heart. My Joyful Heart is a unique children’s charity that provides both life’s basic essentials and letters of encouragement to kids in need. It’s not a “one-size-fits-all” organization – the gifts and notes given to children enrolled in our program are personalized. Children receive necessities like clothing, hygiene products, and even food five times throughout the year.
